About

Here's our story... so far.

Phase 1

Phase III started life as ‘Phase 1 Discotheque’, in the 1970s, when everyone wanted a Disco at their party and DJs just played the music - before they started thinking that they were more important than the music itself!

Life moved on... and being out every weekend didn't really fit in well with a young family, so Phase 1 ran as an agency for a while, before eventually winding down.

Phase II

At the Millennium, like a lot of people, we had a house party.  Phase 1 was then reincarnated as ‘Phase II’, and instead of twin decks, we used a PC (aptly named the ‘Disco Duck’), playing CDs and MP3s (which were relatively new at the time).

We moved on to laptops for a subsequent family party in 2008, when we bought a new projector and built a lightbox.

Phase III

Fast forward to 2017, and our eldest son's wedding... we were quoted £300 for a disco, and were horrified at the cost!  So, we built a classic rope light, bought a new PA, another projector and fog effect.  ‘Phase III’ was born.

My other son, shares my passion for all kinds of music and electronics, so we built a small pair of sub-woofers (for a richer sound), and continued with family parties.  We now hold regular gigs at the local cricket club.

We have public liability insurance, and all our equipment is PAT tested.  So, if you want to hire a classic disco, at a reasonable price, then Phase III could be just what you're looking for.
